Passport Photo Compressor
Square ID and visa photos at exact 600×600 pixels and under 100 KB — compressed in your browser so sensitive photos never leave your device.

How it works
- Open the ID / Visa photo preset.
- Drop a clear headshot (JPEG or PNG).
- Download the 600×600 JPEG ≤100 KB and upload it to the portal yourself.
SnapShrink center-crops to a square, locks 600×600 pixels, then binary-searches JPEG quality at that fixed size. Unlike general target-KB mode, it will not shrink below 600×600 — portals that demand exact pixels stay satisfied when the size cap is reachable.
Why these settings
Many exam, visa, and HR portals reject both oversized files and wrong dimensions. Hitting ≤100 KB while keeping 600×600 is the usual combination. Metadata stripping is on by default so GPS and camera tags are not attached to your upload.
This is a compressor, not a studio: you must still meet official background, face-size, and recent-photo rules for your country. For a generic size cap without the square crop, use compress image to 100KB.
Frequently asked questions
What does the ID / Visa photo preset do?
It center-crops to a square, exports exactly 600×600 JPEG pixels, and searches quality until the file is at or under 100KB — without further downscale that would break pixel requirements.
Will my passport photo be uploaded?
No. Processing stays in your browser. See the privacy policy.
What if the portal needs a different size?
Edit Max dimensions or Target KB after selecting the preset to match the form.
Does SnapShrink strip GPS from ID photos?
Yes by default. Remove photo metadata (EXIF/GPS) is on unless you turn it off.
Is this a legal passport photo service?
No. SnapShrink only resizes and compresses images you provide. Official photo requirements are your responsibility.
